Guide downloads privacy notice

Who is responsible
SAT.CY is responsible for the information collected on this page. Contact info@sat.cy with a privacy question or request.
What we collect and why
We collect the name, email address, mobile number, guide interest and date submitted. These fields identify a request for access and help SAT understand interest in its guides. We use the information to administer free guide access and keep a limited record of requests. The form is required for these downloads; you can decline marketing contact and still receive all available guides.
If you tick either optional contact box, we also record your choice. SAT will use the selected channel to send occasional information about Cyprus guides and relevant SAT services. Unticked boxes mean no permission for marketing through those channels. We do not treat a download alone as permission to send marketing.
Legal basis and your choice
We process the request details to provide the guide you ask for and manage the request. Marketing by email or WhatsApp relies on your separate, optional consent. The WhatsApp choice confirms you use WhatsApp on the number supplied. We do not use this form as permission for SMS marketing or sales calls. You may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing info@sat.cy; this does not affect access to the guides.
Storage and sharing
The form details are held in the website's private database. The hosting provider and its infrastructure suppliers process the data to run the website. SAT does not sell the list or give it to other businesses for their own marketing. Access is restricted to people managing SAT's guide requests. Data may be processed outside your country using the provider's applicable safeguards.
SAT reviews guide records after 12 months and removes records no longer needed. The site removes records older than 12 months when it next processes a download request. You can ask for earlier deletion.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to certain processing, or withdraw marketing consent. Email info@sat.cy. You may also complain to a relevant data protection authority, including the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection or the UK Information Commissioner's Office if applicable.

Website activity and approximate location
SAT records page loads, outbound affiliate clicks and PDF responses, together with available approximate country, city or region, timezone, network provider, browser, operating system, device category, preferred language, referring hostname and connection protocol. Location is estimated by the hosting network and can be inaccurate. We use these details for our legitimate interest in understanding resource use and improving the website. We do not store visitor IP addresses, precise coordinates, raw browser identifiers or analytics cookies, or link browsing events to a named visitor. Counts are events, not unique people. Details supplied with a new guide request are stored beside that request for up to 12 months; separate activity details are removed after 90 days when new activity is processed. Aggregate counts may remain. Older records lack these details. Affiliate booking and commission information remains with the independent providers. Back office access uses an essential session cookie and short-lived hashed network identifiers to limit sign-in attempts. You can object or request deletion by emailing info@sat.cy.
